Ugly Shirt III
“What ugly sights of death within mine eyes!” Shakespeare, King Richard III. Act i. Sc. 4.
If you were to look down a tube filled with rocks, marbles, and mirrors this shirt pattern is what you would see. Like a kid’s kaleidoscope this shirt really should have a moving pattern. But I will take this snapshot ugly as it is.

Taking a Couple Days Off
will still be posting…
Tomorrow is Ugly Shirt Day, and that post is written and ready to fire. Sunday is a repost with commentary or a poem with commentary (I forget which), and Monday is my second video post. So I am taking some time away from writing here.

What I was Afraid Of
advertising scams and woes…
I firmly believe in the saying “A fool and his money are soon parted.” I know this is true because I go through a lot of cash.
You probably have notice my little this space for rent banners. I hold little hope of actually selling that space, but put them there for two reasons. One, I want those panels to have content for future growth (and I want to get this template finished so I can propagate it to my other pages), and two, I have a site I plan on launching in October that will most definitely have ads. I just want to start trying to figure out the best way to make them work now. Oh, and if I can actually sell one, well, then this fool gets a little more money to part with.

Blogging and Social Networking
i am not a blogger…
I hate the term blogging. From Wikipedia:
The term “weblog” was coined by Jorn Barger on 17 December 1997. The short form, “blog,” was coined by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in April or May of 1999. This was quickly adopted as both a noun and verb (“to blog,” meaning “to edit one’s weblog or to post to one’s weblog”).
I’d like to punch both these guys. But then I feel the same way about Phil Helmouth (and yes, I know I spelled his name incorrectly, thus the pun). Anyway, back to my blo— er, I mean journaling. The reason I hate the “B Word” is it takes away any credibility people writing online have and reduces them to the same level as any myspace or facebook teenaged emo kid (and no, I am not linking to either of these sites). Blogging as a term lacks substance and sophistication, so on second thought, maybe it’s perfect.

Amazon.com
ads and addiction…
I visit Amazon’s website quite a bit. I have been selling items there for about four months. I have an associates’ account, and I like shopping there. All in all I spend too much time on that site.
Used to be that I haunted real physical bookstores. Hell, I even worked in a couple. Now, I find that booksellers don’t know their product and stores seldom carry what I want. It’s just become easier to log onto Amazon and check out what it recommends based off what I have reviewed or bought. It’s fairly accurate and I like the customer reviews. More often than not I trust them more than professional reviews.
