Ugly Shirt IV
ugly is as ugly does…
It’s ugly shirt Saturday, and I am too tired to write about these yet tonight. I should have had a shirt ready to go, so I didn’t have to put up shots taken just today! I’ll update this post tomorrow, but in case you tuned in just for the shirts, here they are!
Update: Ok, so these pictures were taken at RVP 1875, a working museum in Story City. The point of this place is that Robby Pedersen puts together pieces of furniture using methods common before 1875. Each piece is art as well as being a functioning made-to-order piece of furniture. This place is definitely worth the stop. I have a nice case of coveting going on for the partner desk on the second level. Way too expensive for me, and most pieces are out of my price range, but he does have some smaller items you could pick up if you were just wanting a trip souvenir.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying this store is overpriced, the craftsmanship alone merits the price. Pretty much anything you’d buy will outlive you. Well, except maybe for the coffins (I’d call this a tie). I’d love to get about 20 of his bookcases, would love the desk, some chairs, some benches, etc. I just don’t have that kind of cash.
So instead, I just stood around, enjoyed watching the process, looking at the items, and all the tools, and threw a few bucks in the donation box on my way out (I can afford that).
And back to the subject of the shirt. This is the last time I will wear this one. I like it a lot. I think the dots on it look like a virus colony on a petri dish under a microscope, but it isn’t quit long enough for comfort. This shirt I will have to take to someplace I don’t shop to donate it, since otherwise, I’d stand a good chance of buying it again.
